Graphics Cards

Top 10 Best Graphics Cards For Gaming in  2016

Graphics cards are really an important piece of Hardware not just for gamers but also for the ones who work in any graphics related industry like video editing, 3D-animation etc. and run graphics-intensive programs like Photoshop, illustrator etc. But the question is, which Graphics cards is best for which user?

To save your energy and precious time, I’ve compiled a list of all the different types of graphics cards you’ll probably need in 2016. And here it begins:

1.EVGA GeForce GTX TITAN Z

Well, here is The Beast. It is most powerful, most advanced — and most expensive too — graphics card ever made. It is so powerful that 4K or even beyond that, would be a breeze. let’s take a look at its specifications.
·         First of all, it has the same 12GB DDR5 RAM that featured in TITAN X. One big difference between the RAMs of both cards, is Memory  clock speed. TITAN Z’ RAM has 4x more memory clock speed (7Gbps) than that of TITAN X.
·         Memory-bus interface of their Video meories is also different. TITAN Z has a 768-bit memory-interface, in comparison TITAN X has a 384-bit bus interface.
·         It has a single high-speed PCI-Express slot, making it perfect for even gaming PCs with small form factor. It has 5760 CUDA cores.
·         Apart from Gaming Enthusiasts, it is very helpful for scientists (to do very precise calculations), videographers (to do extyensive video tasks) as well as Computer Programmers and Developers.
·         It’s base clocked at 705 MHZ while you can boost it up to 876 MHz.
·         Nvidia’s other technologies are supported such as NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready and NVIDIA SLI etc.

2. Asus GeForce GTX Titan X

Although GTX TITAN X uses same Nvidia Maxwell architecture used by other cards in GTX 900 series, this card is way faster than the former. Let’s consider the sheer size of their chips, for example. GTX 980 has an almost 400mm² whereas Titan X’ chip-size is more than 550mm². Let’s find out its other specs.
·         More than 8 billion transistors, it got — an insane amount!. If you compare it with other cards including AMD, next on the list is AMD Radeon R9 290X with almost 6 billion transistors.
·         Titan X’ maxwell chip is also faster than the last generation Titan X’ chip that was released in 2013 — despite being physically smaller.
·         Its stream processors are also larger than GTX 980 — 3072 against 2072. These stream processors are divided into six Graphics Processing Clusters — the GTX 980 has 4 of these.
·         Its core is clocked at 1000MHz with boost speed up to 1075MHz — a little less than common within latest graphics cards. But that thing can be a little blessing in disguise. I am saying it because it can perform 6.2 TFLOPS (Trillion Floating-point Opertions Per Second). TFLOPS is a measure of how much and how fast a machine can do operations. GTX 980 performs about 4.6 TFLOPS.
·         TITAN X is the first graphics card to boast the mammoth 12GB DDR5 RAM that is clocked at 1753MHz. It has a 384-bit memory bus interface and has 336GB/s bandwidth.
·         Support for DirectX 12, Nvidia G-Sync, Nvidia’s DSR and MFAA etc.

·         ASUS GU Tweak Utility can help you in tweaking and changing Graphics setting.

  • On the other hand, it memory is clocked at 6000 MHz in Base mode whereas 6100 MHz in OC Mode. Its Memory-bus interface is 512-bit.
  • It can support a maximum resolution of 4096 x 2160 pixels and also able to support 3 Display at any given time, simultaneously.
  • Next-Gen Twin Frozr V fans, which is smaller, quiteir and more effecient than previous ones. This twins have ZeroFrozr technology which causes them to make no noise in less-intensive situations. They also got Airflow Control technology , which also them to get more air flow into their heat pipes and, as a result of this,  enhance the dissipation efficiency.
  • Apart from those Twin fans, you’ll also get a TORX fan. It has a Traditional Fan Blade – for more air dispersion – and one Dispersion Blade to maximize heat dissipation.
  • There is another handy tool – called MSI Afterburner. For those who don’t know, MSI Afterburner is a globally-recognized GPU-overclocking Tool. Good thing about this tool is its very easy interface where you get all detailed information about your graphics card. SO that you can make changes with ease.

5. Sapphire Radeon R9 295 X2

  • An AMD Radeon R9 295 X2 chipset with 8 GB DDR5 memory.
  • If you go by sheer computational power, then this Graphics cards can give you 11.5 TFLOPS of computing power.
  • It supports many AMD technologies such as AMD Freesync technology, AMD Eyefinity and DirectX 12 etc.
  • AMD TrueAudio technology enables you to recreate high-quality rich sound gaming environment.

9.Asus STRIX GTX 950

Asus STRIX GTX 950 is an entry-level graphics card, promising to give you perfect 1080p gaming experience around $150. Performance wise, this card is more like a bottlenecked version of GTX 960 series graphics cards. Although an entry-level gaming card, it still boasts the 10th-gen GPU architecture — so called Maxwell architecture. Here are some of its other other specifications.
  • 2GB DDR5 memory with 128-bit Memory Bus interface.
  • Even with 128-bit, it does good memory color compression — thanks to Maxwell again.
